Established in May 1973, Humphreys Gun Shop has been serving Southwest Texas Sportsmen for 45 years. Humphreys Gun Shop began as a part-time endeavor while owner, Gary Humphreys, was working with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. It quickly grew into a full-time business! In mid 1975, we opened the doors full-time, moving into Whites Auto Store at 600 East Gibbs Street. After several successful years at that location, in January 1978, we moved to the La Villita Shopping Center at 2400 Ave F. Continuing to grow, we then moved to our present location at 124 E. Garfield Ave., in the spring of 1981.
Humphreys Gun Shop is Del Rio's first and only full-time gun shop. Doing business in every state in the Union, and several foreign countries, we continue to give that personalized service that is expected in a small town atmosphere. Gary will always stop to talk with his customers, new and old - at times even pulling out a Henry or a Colt Walker during a conversation.
We also offer concealed handgun
classes. Gary is a certified Texas Department of
Public Safety License to Carry Instructor and offers
these classes at different times during the month. Please
call for more information about the classes.
